We chatted to friend and fellow local designer, Kelly Davis in her beautiful home about life in Hawke's Bay, style and some of her favourite things.
Perched up in the lush hills of Eskdale, Kelly's home is modern, moody and full of character. Much like her own personal style, Kelly’s approach to interior design is thoughtful and considered, often selecting natural materials or finishes to be the hero of a space.
Her love of stone is echoed throughout her own home, with the rawness of the concrete walls contrasting with the warmth of wood, the polished concrete floors paired with the vibrant mustard yellow of the carpet, and the statement Calacutta Viola marble bar - designed by Stapleton Elliott. Another one of Kelly’s favourite spaces is the main bathroom, featuring a stunning red travertine wall, it has a rich natural colouring like no other.

Favourite things to do around Hawke’s Bay:
An evening drink at Winifreds on a Friday, Mister D’s for brunch and taking Nova the German Shepherd for a walk around Eskdale or Marine Parade. "I love being at home, the area is so peaceful, it's easy not to leave" Kelly has also rediscovered her love of music and singing.
